ManyKeep – App Policy
Data Collection
ManyKeep does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Photos, videos, access codes, and settings are saved locally on your device.
Permissions
- Camera: Required to take photos and record videos directly into your albums. Used only when you tap a camera control inside the app.
- Photo Library (Add Only): Optional, used only when you choose to save a photo or video from a ManyKeep album back to your device’s Camera Roll. ManyKeep does not read existing items from your library.
- Face ID / Touch ID / Fingerprint: Optional, used only to unlock the master session when you enable biometric sign-in.
- No access to location, contacts, microphone, or background tracking is required.
Ads & Tracking
- No advertisements
- No third-party analytics
- No background tracking
- No telemetry or usage statistics
User Data
- Photos and videos are stored in the app’s private sandbox directory on your device.
- iOS marks every file with the strongest data-protection class so files are unreadable while your device is locked. Android relies on the user-data partition that is reachable only by ManyKeep.
- Access codes are hashed with a per-device pepper and never stored in plain text. They never leave your device.
- Album metadata (names, cover choices), display preferences (theme, style, language, haptics), and recycle-bin retention live entirely on your device.
- No cloud sync, no user accounts, no external servers. Your media never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.
Recycle Bin
- Deleted photos and videos move to a 30-day recycle bin and are then permanently deleted. You can restore or permanently delete sooner from the Recycle Bin screen.
- Deletion is local — items in the recycle bin are not backed up to any external service.
In-App Purchases
- Premium subscriptions (monthly and yearly) are processed entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. ManyKeep does not see your payment details.
- Subscription state is stored locally on your device and is honored as long as your subscription is active.
- ManyKeep does not contact any external server to validate or track subscriptions.
Access Codes
- Access codes cannot be recovered if forgotten. They are encrypted on your device with no key escrow, no recovery email, and no support backdoor.
- Please keep your master code somewhere safe.
Updates
We may occasionally release updates to improve performance, fix bugs, or add new features. Updates will never delete your albums, change your access codes, or alter the privacy posture described above.
